Liberally!

The manager of this paradise gives us very liberally great treasures of lights and colors to enrich our minds and our souls with pleasure to live.
Happiness belongs to the simple and pure of heart as neomelodici painters!

Carpe diem

I had a small canvas with a nearby Gragnano landscape that I did not like because the river was reproduced too big in that surface.
This morning I took that canvas and I immediately said the solution: too big river, it has to become a stream!
So from memory I remade the whole river bed thinking about the Valle dei Mulini and found this little piece of forest poetry.

Raining day

This morning I was woken up very early by a great thunder.
Bad weather no work : but I saw a great shining sun that sent truly enchanting flashes of light.
Therefore immediately easel e via to the mouth of the Sarno River.
I made the first draft of the framework I wanted to finish it in the same day.

The best thing is that then, finished to work, overlooking the terrace of my house I receveid these gifts from the manager of this paradise.

Morning job

Many years ago I decided that the costs for my painting activity could not weigh on my modest employer salary and so I stopped painting for over thirty years.
Sometime I did something with crayons or colored pencils, but also if I could do something nice, it was certainly not the same satisfaction of using oil paint.
So I resumed and bought lots of cheap junk: nothing is equal to the most popular classic colors also if  more expensive.
This morning I wanted to try a little box with oil water soluble colors.

NEVERMORE.

Anyway I took out a half-day of work in the Sarno valley

Neo-painting line.

I finally start to give an answer to my question.

Why neomelodici singers are so confident of their art.
Yet the cultural bourgeoisie labels them as marginalized: representing subculture of districts or remote little town.
They have singing and musical techniques enviable, and made the relationship with the reality as experienced, in their songs tell the same platitudes of love that say "great" singers.

Quite by accident, I watched a video of a great naive painter of the last century, and I realized that the step from a van Gogh to a ligabue is not as long as people think.
Underlying everything there is the real art, that is being always yourself!
I began to think that I can paint landscapes too although I have a deep hatred for all those who have spilled cement everywhere.
I can not think of painting a glimpse without being polluted by a modern construction or worse from a wind turbine or antenna television or telephone.
So I thought to paint from memory or fantasy using a series of initial spots and drawing a landscape and then touch up here and there to make sense of "finished."

There I always find my world, even of other times, but deeply attached to my roots.
This is my neo-melodica line, or better my neo-painting line, where I retrieve myself and the pleasure to paint.
